- Exporting is available in Tennis Rally, Match, Service Practice & Ball Machine Mode session(s) and Pickleball Rally or Match session(s)
- Exporting highlights occurs after a session has been processed and can occur before or after uploads. You can export an entire session OR by several different options (included points, favorited, rally type, score type...)
- You can share sessions directly to social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) OR text directly the link to a friend.
- You can also export and save the session to your phone:
- You can choose the overlays you would like to include in either: Horizontal, Square or Vertical pan. Once this is confirmed, the video will prepare. Users can select "Notify me when my export completes" rather than staying in the app however staying in the app and keeping the device charged while exporting will increase the speed of the process.
Exporting Troubleshooting/Issues
1) For Sharing Videos:
For video exports, doing so from the playback screen allows the app to download the video a bit in advance of your export. Doing so directly from the session details can sometimes cause issues, especially if the video is just in the cloud and not locally on your device. We are working to improve the reliability of this.
2) Error Message: "Alert: There was a Problem Exporting Your Video"
- This could be due to being in Trimmed Video Mode.
- Check if you are in trimmed video mode by going to the ME tab in the SwingVision App, Settings, and scroll down until you see Video Backup:
- Can you try uploading again? Trimmed mode is an experimental but faster video backup option. With this setting, our cloud provider (Amazon) is currently unable to properly convert the video into a format that is optimal for streaming over a variety of network connections. For the best reliability, please open your profile settings and change your Video Backup preferences back to Entire Video. Trimmed mode is a beta feature that attempts to cut the dead time out of your video before uploading to the SwingVision cloud.
- We are working with them to support conversion and have made major improvements, but until then, playback over network connections, especially wifi, may not be as reliable.
- As such, you sort of have a trade off here. You can use Trimmed Video for faster uploads but a little less reliable playback (which is continuing to improve) OR you can use Entire Video for a bit slower uploads but smoother playback.
- You can also try force quitting the app if you receive the Alert error then go back into the session and try exporting again.
3) Error Message: "Alert-There was a problem exporting your video. Please try downloading the video locally and attempt exporting again."
- There are some cases that will require the video to be downloaded locally first before exporting, otherwise the export happens over the network and is less likely to succeed for long exports (sometimes even short rallies)
- You can do this by selecting the cloud on the bottom right hand side of the session with the arrow pointing down:
- Still having trouble? Please try force quitting the SwingVision app
- If the problem persists please be patient and wait as it could be a video conversion delay
4) Edit/Adjust Auto Pan Feature when Exporting Highlight Videos
- We have made major changes to our autopanning, however if you notice that the Auto Pan feature is not properly following the "action" in one of your exported highlight videos, please edit the shot(s) where you notice the issue by doing the following:
1. While reviewing a shot in the app, tap the screen to reveal the Edit Shot button in the top left corner of the video playback;
2. Tap Edit Shot;
3. Adjust the Hitting Pan to match the exact contact point between the racquet and the ball > click Save;
4. Adjust the Bounce Pan to match the exact point of contact between the ball and the court > click Save;
5. After you Save it, the Auto Pan feature should adjust accordingly.
